Te presento a JOANA ROSA BRAGANÇA, la reina de la costura figurativa, con un amplio porfolio entre el mundo de la ilustración y del craft. No sé que me gusta más de Joana. Si sus dibujos, sus muñecos, sus pinturas o si el hecho de que es casi vecina mía. Recién vecina, que hace poco que hemos vuelto a Portugal. Ella vive en Olhão y nosotros en Faro, aquí al ladico. Estoy segura que algún día nos pondremos cara y tomaremos un largo té. Pero mientras, ahí la tienes!

Y es que todo es de un detalle tan… tan… GUAY, que me pierdo mirando sus proyectos! Es como si fueran de una simplicidad compleja, sabes? De aquellas que te atrapan la mirada. Aquí me declaro super fan absoluta. Mira bien el pelooooo, la chaquetita tejida, la cara bordada, los pies con sus zapatos.

Mires por donde mires siempre encontrarás el trazo característico de todo el trabajo de Joana! Saber encontrar su linea, su estilo tan propio… es de un mérito increíble, y más en los días de hoy. Y todo hecho a mano, en piezas únicas o en tiradas muy pequeñas y numeradas.

Cosas tan sencillas como una tote bag en color crudo, con el dibujo y los detalles ciertos, el color perfecto y tchán tchánnnn!! Ahí tienes un bolso con el que enamorarte perdidamente…

If her drawings, dolls, paintings or the fact that she is almost a neighbor of mine. Newly neighbor, because we recently have returned to Portugal. She lives in Olhão and we live in Faro which is right near by. I’m sure that someday we will meet each other and have a long tea. But for now there you have her!

And everything is made with such detail and it’s so… so… COOL, I loose myself watching her projects! It is as if they were made in a complex simplicity, you know? They catch the eye. I’m an absolute super fan. Look well at the hairrrrr, the little woven jacquet, embroidered face, feet with shoes.

Look where you look you will always find the characteristic trait of all the work of Joana! Knowing how to find her line, her very own style … It is of an incredible merit, and more nowadays. And all handmade, unique pieces or in very small print runs and numbered.
